Throughout my life, I’ve been compelled and inspired by processes of transformation:

  • Drawing/painting frogs and butterflies through childhood (and beyond!)

  • Being captivated by the poetry of Ann Sexton (Transformations) and the archetype of the mythic hero’s journey (Joseph Campbell) in my 20s

  • Creating bodies of artwork, teaching art/spirituality classes, and facilitating rituals for life transitions in my 30s-40s

  • Helping people create meaningful change as a counselor in my 50s.

Life transitions are like portals that we enter, by choice or circumstances beyond our control. It can be helpful to view our life transition as a dual-process whereby as the context of our lives change, we in turn have the impetus and opportunity to adapt, change, and grow.

I help clients feel seen, supported, and empowered to effectively navigate their life transitions and create meaningful change.

Depending on the degree/nature of the change, we may feel varying degrees of emotion and sense of disorientation. Sometimes these portals may feel like a dark descent into the unfamiliar or the unknown. We may m wonder how, if at all, we will ever emerge. And if we do, who will we then be?

I am inspired by my clients in witnessing their courage to dig deep to self-reflect, and expand their understanding of themselves, and feel empowered to create meaningful change.

With big changes, the bedrock of our lives seem to shift. To stay centered, we can draw on inner strengths and external supports that may have otherwise been underdeveloped or overlooked. Depending on the degree of change, or the severity of the loss, we may feel that our sense of self, our relationships, and our place in the world have been shaken. Our most painful life transitions may leave us feeling dismantled and broken.

Change can be painful, and it can also be an opportunity for personal growth and transformation.

nd help empower them to adapt, thrive, and find meaning within the new context of their lives.

As your witness and co-creator of meaningful change, I am committed to advocating for you, and helping you identify and enlist your inner strengths and resources to …..
