Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy for Meaningful Change

Welcome! My name is Kris and I specialize in working with creative, introspective, and spiritually minded adults who are seeking greater self-understanding, emotional healing, and meaningful change.

What is Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy is a compassionate, evidence-based approach to healing that helps you understand your inner world with greater clarity and care.

IFS therapy is based on the understanding that we all have different “parts”—patterns of thoughts, emotions, and protective responses that develop over time to help us navigate life experiences, stress, and relationships.

Rather than trying to eliminate or suppress these parts, IFS therapy invites a different relationship with them—one rooted in curiosity, compassion, and understanding. This shift creates space for healing and greater inner harmony.

Self-Leadership and Inner Balance

At the heart of IFS therapy is Self-leadership—your natural capacity to relate to your inner world from a calm, grounded, and compassionate place.

From this Self-led position, you can begin to notice your parts without becoming overwhelmed or defined by them. Thoughts and emotions are still present, but you are no longer fully blended with them.

As Self-leadership grows, inner experiences that once felt intense or chaotic often become more understandable and workable. Difficult feelings don’t disappear, but your relationship to them shifts. There is more space to pause, reflect, and respond in ways aligned with your values.

Over time, this supports a steadier sense of clarity, balance, and inner trust in daily life.

You may appear capable on the outside but feel exhausted by anxiety, self-doubt, people-pleasing, or relationship struggles. Perhaps you've spent years trying to understand why certain patterns keep repeating. You may find yourself stuck in cycles of overthinking, perfectionism, or emotional overwhelm despite your best efforts to change. IFS therapy can help you understand and heal the deeper parts of yourself that drive these patterns.

I commonly work with people experiencing:

  • Anxiety and Perfectionism

  • Childhood Trauma and Abuse Recovery

  • People-pleasing and Codependency

  • Relationship Challenges

  • Life Transitions and Personal/Spiritual Growth
