Love Heals: Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy for Healthy Empowerment
Specializing in support for creative, introspective, and spiritually-minded women navigating anxiety, self-criticism, relationship challenges, or the effects of difficult life experiences.
Kris Morgan, Licensed Professional Counselor
Hi! I’m Kris Morgan (pronouns: she/her)
I’m passionate about empowering women who struggle to find their voice and their confidence to fully embrace who they are and where they’re headed.
In particular, I have a special heart for supporting women who are navigating the long-term fallout from emotional neglect and sexual abuse in childhood.
How I help others
In graduate school, one of my professors told us students that clinical mental health counseling is really about love. I felt a bit stunned to hear this from a university professor—and relieved because it felt intuitively true.
The most foundational and transformative work I do is help people connect with their wise, grounded, core “Self,” and facilitate conversations and connections with one’s (often young) internal parts from a place of curiosity and compassion/love. Ultimately, I help people in “be with” those young, internal parts in the way they needed at the time they were overwhelmed and took on extreme roles, beliefs, and feelings. And from an IFS perspective, Self-energy—which is actually connected to energy much larger than Self—is what heals our wounded and highly protective parts.
I commonly work with women experiencing:
Anxiety and Perfectionism
Childhood Trauma and Abuse Recovery
People-pleasing and Codependency
Relationship Challenges
Life Transitions and Personal/Spiritual Growth
